Bath Elementary School

Bath Elementary School

This project is the first school in the state to use the new Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) delivery method. Built on a site adjacent to the middle school site, the new elementary building is designed to accommodate 820 students. Parents will drop off students at the front of the building with bus drop off to the east. The playground is totally separated and contained to the south of the site allowing for maximum safety and large play areas shared with PE. Outdoor learning areas include an Art patio and Science garden lab along with designated prairie grass areas. The new elementary building includes a 1200 sf stage that opens up to the gymnasium. The main entry opens up to a 2 story daylight atrium and connects the student dining, gymnasium, media center and main offices, placing these in a central location for school and after hours community use. A main avenue leads from here to a second 2 story atrium space denoting the academic hub of the facility. Three 2 story wings lead off this axis with each corridor housing a grade of classrooms, an extended learning and supporting special education spaces.
